Our exceptional Goldendoodles begin with our beloved parent dogs, who receive a premium diet, ample exercise, and plenty of love and care. These dogs are well-mannered and exhibit wonderful temperaments. Each parent undergoes rigorous health testing through GANA’s Gold Standard Health Testing, which includes CAER evaluations, OFA assessments for hips and elbows, cardiac checks, and advanced DNA testing from Embark, Animal Genetics, and UC Davis. We also conduct OFA testing for patellas in our mini and medium Goldendoodles. To ensure peace of mind for new families, we proudly offer a 10-year Health Guarantee for every puppy.
We prioritize the well-being of our mama doods with exceptional care during their pregnancy. Each mother enjoys regular vet visits and a customized nutrition plan to keep her and the pups healthy and comfortable. As their due date approaches, we pamper these wonderful moms with daily massages and grooming.
When it's time for delivery, we are right there by their side, providing constant support and assistance. We understand that each mom's experience is unique and we are prepared to intervene if necessary. Our presence throughout the entire process ensures that our moms feel secure and nurtured, allowing them to focus on bringing their beautiful puppies into the world.
From just 3 days old, we embark on a transformative journey with our puppies through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). This crucial process lasts until they are 16 days old. ENS is scientifically proven to enhance cardiovascular performance, strengthen heartbeats, boost adrenal function, increase stress tolerance, and improve disease resistance. Meanwhile, ESI fosters a keen sense of smell and builds confidence, setting the stage for well-rounded, resilient companions. We also have daily weigh-ins to ensure each puppy is receiving the nutrition necessary for optimal development.
We wean our puppies onto a fresh, wholesome food diet from Just Food For Dogs, promoting healthy eating habits right from the start. This balanced diet enhances their growth, boosts their immune system, and improves digestion. We also provide age-appropriate chews to support teething, soothing their gums and promoting dental health. Our focus on quality nutrition and thoughtful teething solutions ensures that our puppies grow strong and healthy, ready for their new homes!
At 3 weeks old, we start socializing our puppies with various sounds, sights, and textures. Each day until they go home, we create engaging physical and mental challenges that build their nerve strength, confidence, and problem-solving skills. We familiarize puppies with different types of touch and handling. This routine covers essential areas like their eyes, nose, mouth, and more. All puppies receive multiple baths, blow drys annd sanitary trims as well. Our goal is to provide an enriching environment for the puppies' first 8 weeks, while new families have an additional 8 weeks to continue their development. Our aim is to create well-balanced and confident puppies.
Around weeks 6/7, we conduct a thorough puppy temperament test for each puppy, following the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test guidelines. This assessment highlights key traits, ensuring you find a puppy that matches your lifestyle while respecting their unique personality. This helps give puppies a voice. Families receive scorecards for each puppy after testing, making the decision for go-home day easier. Please note that the selection of puppies follows the order of the waitlist after the temperament testing, WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONS
We kickstart potty training for our puppies around 3 weeks old by establishing a designated potty area in the whelping box. This early introduction teaches them the importance of using a specific spot for their needs.
However, it's essential to understand that they WILL NOT be fully potty trained when they go home. Changes in environment can lead to occasional accidents. Continuous training and positive reinforcement are necessary to minimize accidents and encourage proper potty habits.
We initiate crate training with our puppies to aid in potty training and create a safe, cozy space for them. To ease this transition, we provide a snuggle puppy for comfort, and play soft music. A snuggle puppy can significantly enhance your pup's sense of security when alone.
Keep in mind that they may not be perfect in the crate right away, as they’re adjusting to a new environment and unfamiliar people. The first few nights away from their littermates can be challenging. It takes time and patience to help them become comfortable and confident in their crate.
Leash training is an essential part of our puppy training program. While it's important to understand that they will NOT be fully leash trained when they go home, we start introducing them to leash training early on to establish a foundation. This early training sets the groundwork for teaching your new puppy how to walk properly on a leash and avoid pulling. It's a gradual process that requires consistency and positive reinforcement to help them develop good leash manners over time.
